AMI 2013-14 Excellence in Sport Grants Program (ESPG)

The Australia-Malaysia Institute (AMI) invites applications for the inaugural round of its Excellence in Sports Grants Program (ESGP). The objective of the ESGP is to support Australian and Malaysian organisations undertake projects, programs or initiatives which: 

  • enhance people-to-people links between Australian and Malaysian sporting organisations; and
  • enhance training and education opportunities for players, coaches, officials and administrators, that will improve the operational capacity of community sport and recreation organisations and assist in the development of community level sport and physical recreation in Malaysia.

Applications should provide a good description of the proposed project, the amount being sought from the AMI, what components of  project the AMI funding will cover, and how the project will contribute to enhancing people-to-people links between Australia and Malaysia. Please note that the level of grant funding will be decided according to the merits of the proposal and funding will be for no more than AUD15,000.

Applications open at 9am, Monday 20 January 2014. Applications should be completed on-line and submitted through Smarty Grants by 5pm, Monday 3 March 2014.
